Propagate Enterprise Manager Location to Applications screen reference
Configure the Enterprise Manager Location settings if you have servers from releases 15.2 HFR4 or later, or servers from releases earlier than 15.2, in your enterprise.
To specify the connection information for the server that hosts the Enterprise Manager application, use this screen. The Enterprise Manager Agent Web application installed on every system server that communicates with the Enterprise Manager regarding any configuration changes or alarm messages for the relevant server. (EMA) and Recorder Manager (RM) applications on the enterprise servers use this information to connect to the Enterprise Manager server.

Enter the host name, IP address, or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the application server that hosts the Enterprise Manager application. Note: If your application servers are clustered, enter the host name, IP address, or FQDN of the load balancing device that fronts the cluster. |
Secondary EM Server Name |
Complete this field only if your enterprise supports data center redundancy System redundancy solution that ensures the continued availability of a Data Center, in the event of a natural disaster.. If your enterprise does not support data center redundancy, leave this field blank. In a data center redundancy environment, specify the host name, IP address, or FQDN of the application server in the secondary (inactive) data center that hosts the Enterprise Manager application. See the related information for more details. Note: If your application servers are clustered, enter the host name, IP address, or FQDN of the load balancing device that fronts the cluster. |
Port Number |
Specify port 80. The EMAs and Recorder Managers use this port when making unencrypted HTTP connections to the Enterprise Manager server. Note: If you are creating a server cluster, enter the port number on which the load balancing device that fronts the cluster listens for connections. Configure the load balancer to listen for HTTP connections on port 80. |
HTTPS Port Number |
Specify port 443. The EMAs and Recorder Managers use this port when making encrypted HTTPS connections to the Enterprise Manager server. Note: If you are creating a server cluster, enter the port number on which the load balancing device that fronts the cluster listens for connections. Configure the load balancer to listen for HTTPS connections on port 443. |
Context |
Specifies the part of the Enterprise Manager URL that indicates the application context for the request. For example, for the URL http://enterprisemanager1/wfo the correct context entry is:
/wfo
The default setting is /wfo. |
