Campaigns > Archive Media

The Recording Management > Campaigns > Archive Media page lists all fixed media (online or offline) defined across the enterprise. The page also lists all removable media currently online in an archive drive. Although both fixed and removable media are listed, you can create, edit, or delete only the fixed media.

The list shows the following information about each defined media.

Field

Description

Name

The user-defined name for the media.

Type

The selected media type. For example, DVD, RDX, SAN, FTP, Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, GCS (Google Cloud Storage), or Hitachi HCP.

Path/Folder

The defined network path for the fixed device. The field is empty for removable devices.

Status

The media is either Online or Offline.

Archive Drives

Defined media can be associated with any number of defined logical archive drives. This field lists the drives that point to the selected media. The field can include a limited number of characters; when the list of drives exceeds that character limit, the list is truncated, and "..." is displayed.

Archive Database Service

Read-only field.

All media are defined within an Archive database. This field lists the Interaction Applications server used to access the database containing the media definition.

If the application servers are clustered, only one application server in the cluster displays here. This application server is used to get the media information from the Archive database.

If the application server listed here goes down, the system uses a different clustered application server to get the media information from the Archive database. In this case, the name displayed here changes to the different application server.

Archive Database

The database that contains the media definition.

Override Expiry

True (on) or False (off). When true, the system ignores the "Retention Period" setting on any Archive Drive with this media assigned.

Immutable Storage

Indicates the Amazon S3 Object Lock status, which enforces WORM (Write Once, Read Many) protection to prevent changes or deletion to data during a retention period.

If a lock icon appears, the data is immutable during the retention period and can't be deleted.

Possible lock values:

  • Unknown – Available in on-premises deployments deployments, lock status cannot be retrieved.

  • Error – Available in cloud deployments, lock status is unknown and cannot be retrieved.

  • Unlocked – Data is unprotected and can be deleted.

  • Locked – Data is locked; mode is unspecified.

  • Locked in Compliance Mode – Data cannot deleted until retention period ends.

  • Locked in Governance Mode – Only users with special permissions can override the lock.
