Cisco Jabber Adapter

The Jabber integration uses an Event Broker adapter to receive chat-related events.

Procedure 

  1. In Recorder Manager, go to General Setup. Under Integration Service, click Settings.

  2. Click Create, then select Cisco Jabber Event Broker Adapter.

  3. Enter the following settings:

    Field

    Description

    Adapter Name

    Type a unique name for this adapter. Do not use any special characters or characters that truncate xml. This field is not case-sensitive.

    Description

    Optional: Type a description of the adapter.

    Adapter Type

    A read-only field that lists the previously selected adapter.

    Run From

    This adapter is run from the Text Integration Service.

    Startup Type

    Select a startup type: Automatic, Manual, or Disabled.

    DataSource

    Select an Application data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs. with a sub-type of Cisco Jabber.

    Listen Port

    Port number on which to listen for the connection to the database. (Typically 5432.)

    Compliance Server Listen Port

    The port number on which the Event Broker adapter listens for connections from Cisco Presence Server.

    Component Name

    A name for this adapter that you will use to identify it to the Cisco Presence Server. It must be identical to the component name generated when you registered the Event Broker Adapter as a Third-Party Compliance Component with the Cisco Presence Server.

    Compliance Server Set

    Password

    Enter the password that you entered when you registered the Event Broker Adapter as a Third-Party Compliance Component with the Cisco Presence Server. These passwords must be identical for authentication to work.

    Connection Wait Timeout

    The duration for which the system waits for a connection from the Cisco Presence Server to the adapter. On reaching the threshold the system raises an alarm.

    Attachments Server

    IP address of Cisco Attachment Server.

    Attachments Directory Path

    Path to where the attachments are stored.

    Attachments User

    Enter a user name. This user will be used to make a connection for fetching attachments.

    Attachments Password

    Password for the user created above. Click the button to enter and confirm a password.

    Purging Frequency (times per day)

    The number of times a day for purging to occur.

    Timespan for purging (hours)

    Specify a timespan, in hours, for purging. The system purges data older than the specified time. The default is 1 hour.

    Example:  

    If you set the Timespan for purging to 4, data older than 4 hours is purged when the Time interval for triggering purging setting is triggered.

    Time interval for triggering purging (minutes)

    This setting defines how often to check for data to be purged. The default is 1 minutes.

    Generate Recording Notifications

    Enable this feature to inject text notifications into chat conversations to alert parties to the fact that the chat is being recorded.

    Recording Notification Message

    If you enable Generate Recording Notifications, above, you can use this field to specify the message to display. By default the displayed message is “This chat is being recorded.”

  4. Click Save.
